Job Description

Our fresh refurbishment of a boutique optometrist practice has breathed new life into the Angelo St shopping district.

With a confined space to work within and a restricted time frame for handover, everyone’s focus was on mastering this design and fit out so that everything was completed on schedule. Our design focus was on creating an interesting interior that appeared larger than reality and complimented our client’s positive and professional business ethic.

A gently curved ceiling softens the first impression and strategic placement of glazed panelling and work spaces help to maximise natural light and movement throughout the interior. Storage is cleverly placed to double as display and the colour palette is warm and welcoming.

The overall impression is that we increased the existing tenancy without moving any walls – just like magic! And the new Angelo Street Optical interior will support the business for years to come.

Extent of Work:

Design, documentation & approvals – Preparation of concepts, design development and construction drawings to meet Building Code of Australia, state & local government as well as landlord requirements.

Building Works – Alterations to existing plasterboard and glazed partitioning. Feature curved ceiling and bulkheads to define retail space. Installation of textured wall paneling.

Services – Design and installation of new electrical services including new lighting, power, security and data services. Feature LED display lighting and pendants. Modifications to existing plumbing services in kitchen and consulting room.

Furniture – Installation of custom designed and work areas incorporating Point of Sale and display elements. Customised storage and mirrors for glass display areas. New workbench and storage in consulting room.

Branding – Mirror signage to retail area wall and film graphics to entry doors.
