Requirements for the relocation of Dermalogica’s Education Centre included a well-planned flexible space with an upmarket presence supportive of this iconic brand. Display and demonstration areas needed to blend with both theory and practical teaching areas. And the complete project had to be mindful of a limited budget without looking like it.
To keep the project cost effective, certain elements such as examination beds and training tables were repurposed. Doing this allowed the budget to focus on front of house areas and much needed storage. The main presentation area includes a large storage wall which doubles as a projection screen and whiteboard. Being able to combine different purposes within one space allowed us to economise on the overall tenancy footprint which of course fits well with the project budget.
The first impression when entering the Dermalogica Education Centre is one of glamour and that doesn’t leave as you venture further. Clever use of light, texture and colour have given the Centre a progressive look and ageless design without overspend.
