Festive Wishes for 2017
It’s the festive commercial design season, once again! And I sincerely hope that you have many great things planned over the festive break. With this news update, I’m not even going to mention how quick the year has gone because I’m sure you’re feeling it too. I will however be sharing some of the great things we’ve achieved here at Bellfort. And I don’t think it will be too hard to do!!
Firstly, 2017 has allowed us to complete some amazing and ground breaking projects. I’m not bragging, just being honest. The team has travelled far and wide over these past 12 months and our suppliers have given us tremendous support and help when it came to creating some of Perth’s most outstanding interiors.
I guess top of the pile has to be the Little Lion Café we designed and built for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, located within the Perth Children’s Hospital. No, it’s not open for business yet but when it is, people are going to be talking about it. A lot. The space is magical and an inspiring sanctuary for every person who enters it.
We did push many boundaries with this project and the main one was forming Corian into trees that we then curved in opposing directions. Not to mention the fact that we engraved all internal surfaces and then illuminated the final result. Astounding! And others are thinking that as well. We’ve already won round three of the 2017 Corian Design Awards and quite honestly, it’s due to every person’s contribution. Knowing this, we want to say congratulations to all of you.
Our project for RAAF continues and will do so for some months into 2018. The guys are doing a great job and we are pleased with all results. When talking about Bellfort successes this year, I also have to mention commercial design projects we’ve completed. In particular, for Amspec Petrospection, Witch’s Cauldron Restaurant, Fresh Start, CGG, Sansom Capitol and BGSR. All great clients who are very happy with their end results.
Our commercial design is hard to beat
With our sights now turned towards 2018, we find the team is going to be really busy. And not just for a few months. Kicking off the New Year we have design development continuing for the Niche project. This is a large building refurbishment on the QEII campus which includes the Independent Living Centre, Neurological Council of WA and all common areas. Given we delivered an exciting interior for ILC at their Cockburn location, can’t wait to see what we do with this one.
Other projects on the go next year include Cube Consulting, Lake St Northbridge and Amspec. Plus, we are still submitting concepts and cost proposals for the enquiries that keep coming in. No rest for the wicked…so they say! Why don’t you head over to our Pinterest page and view our new project boards.
And I can’t close this year out without mentioning our outstanding fundraising achievements. From a fast and furious Bunnings sausage sizzles to a jam-packed quiz night – we did it all. Yes, it was hard work, but the team really pitched in and gave their all to help make each activity and fundraising event a success. Overall, we raised $15,270 and had heaps of fun along the way. All funds raised were donated to Youth Focus, a charity that provides assistance to youth in need of suicide prevention services.
In closing, I wish you a safe and happy Christmas and will be back in front of you early next year, sharing the latest Bellfort news. Thank you to all of our clients for their belief in what we do and heartfelt thanks to all of our suppliers and contractors who support us every day.
CHRISTMAS CHEER TO ALL OF YOU!
