Western Environmental & Coterra Environment Case Study
Commercial interior design in Perth for co-locations is successfully achieved by Bellfort.
The decision for two companies to co-locate is often an interesting challenge for all parties involved. Equality, corporate identity and equality can be uppermost in everyone’s mind. The creation of the shared interior for Western Environmental and Coterra Environment never faced these challenges. Furthermore, the whole commercial interior design and fit out process was an enjoyable experience for all stakeholders.
Creating a new interior for two environmentally-focused companies needed to tick certain boxes. The ultimate goal was to create an interior which uniquely supporting corporate identities. Individual work spaces had to support both companies and suit their specific requirements. Similarly, they needed to unite adjoining spaces within the floorplate. Both accommodating highly-functional meeting, utility and breakout areas.
The floor plan organically defines each space without interrupting tree-lined views and free access throughout the tenancy. This free-flowing space is embellished with customised plywood panelling that sets a tone of strength upon entry. To create a sense of ‘play’ for staff and clients, the outdoors were brought indoors. A turf rug below hanging pod chairs does the trick. Definitely a must-have item on many peoples’ wish-lists!
Positioning of a functional breakout space adjacent to the balcony encourages everyone to take time-out when needed. As an added bonus, the balcony has a turfed area and casual furniture suited to it’s location and use. Within the working areas, integration of storage areas between workstations maximises difficult-to-use space. Furthermore, it creates very functional working zones that everyone can access.
Overall, the wow-factor is evident as soon as you step out of the lift. Venture further into this working environment and you soon realise that functional no longer needs to be boring.
