From a derelict building, the finished result of this Catholic Homes project is outstanding.

Spanning three floors, the refurbishment of this building was extensive. The complete interior required demolition and sections of external roofing and associated elements required replacing. And the extent of refurbishment was not cosmetic only. Certain existing elements such as the staircases and egress points did not meet current building regulations so they had to be incorporated within the full extent of works.

The overall effect upon entering this commercial interior is one of professional calm. The colour palette is vibrant but also inviting – for staff and their clients.

Extent of work:

Design, documentation & approvals – Preparation of concepts, design development and construction drawings to meet Building Code of Australia, state & local government requirements.

Building Works – Extensive demolition of interior surfaces. Installation of new plasterboard and glazed partitioning to fulfill the client’s brief for different working zones. Feature bulkheads to ground floor area. Feature wall paneling to boardroom and counselling areas.

Services – Design and installation of new electrical services including switchboard upgrade, new lighting, power, security and data services. New plumbing services including coring, underground pipework and commercial kitchen facilities. Site works and installation of a three storey lift.

Commercial kitchen – New joinery with integrated sinks, refrigeration, dishwashing and associated storage for two kitchen areas. Ground floor kitchen was established to cater for training and corporate functions. Third floor kitchen became a staff breakout space and dining area.

Furniture – Installation of flexible work spaces to accommodate permanent and support staff. Loose furniture installation including benches, tables and seating. Custom designed joinery to suit training and boardroom areas. Custom built storage to accommodate extensive client records and property portfolios.

Audio Visual – Installation of corporate AV to boardroom and training room..

Branding – Customised graphics to all window glazing film and feature walls in the training room and reception area.
