A range of factors influence how much a fit-out costs. These include the condition and size of the space, and where it’s located, whether in the CBD or on the suburban fringes. The type of company matters too, for example a mining firm, call centre or law firm, along with how the business operates and whether clients visit the office. Cost is also shaped by the specs and standard of the fit-out, from finishes selection to whether elements are off the shelf or bespoke and entry level or high end, as well as how the space needs to function, including sound proofing, circulation and regulation.
