Bellfort are members of the MBAWA, a registered builder and a commercial interior design & fitout professional. Given this, we are required to comply with the MBA’s current code of ethics. This Code aims to establish a best practice guide for members. MBA members are encouraged to promote the Code to others in the industry.
MBA expects its members to:
- Act fairly and honestly in dealings with other MBA members, clients, prospective clients and kindred organisations
- Conduct business ethically and professionally and in a manner which will not bring the industry or MBA into disrepute.
- Tender in good faith and according to the Australian Standard Code of Tendering.
- Keep abreast of developments in the industry to maintain high workmanship standards and statutory compliance.
- Not engage in misleading, deceptive or anti-competitive conduct.
- Reject discrimination on the basis of age, race, gender, family status, sexuality, religion, impairment and political belief.
- Comply with the spirit of this Code.
The Design Institute of Australia is Australia’s professional membership body for designers and design businesses. Membership in the DIA indicates your status as a qualified, experienced, ethical practicing professional. Membership in the DIA provides you with services and information to improve your professional practice. It also promotes the value of professional design and designers to industry. This includes business, government and the community through its National Council and State Branches.

WA’s Building Commission oversees the regulation of building, painting, building surveying and plumbing services. These regulatory functions are focused within a single agency, the building industry. It’s consumers benefit from a consistent and efficient service.
The Building Services Board has been established within the Commission to register building trades. These trades include builders, painters and building surveyors, and the Plumbers Licensing Board licenses plumbers. The Commission also provides advice to the Minister of Commerce regarding the administration of the Architects Act 2004.

The Green Building Council of Australia was established in 2002 to develop a sustainable property industry. Additionally, it was to drive the adoption of green building practices through market-based solutions.
Bellfort is proud to be a member of the GBCA which has over 750 member companies. All of whom work together to support the Council and its activities. Bellfort strive to promote GBCA principles within every project. The GBCA promotes green building programs, technologies, design practices and processes. It operates Australia’s only national voluntary environmental rating system for buildings – Green Star.
Bellfort has been examined and assessed by DEEWR. They are confirmed as being compliant with the current National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry. Additonally, they comply with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines.
